CPB Contractors has announced its commitment to power all corporate offices, plant yards and precast facilities across Australia and New Zealand with renewable energy in 2023 and beyond.
A milestone commitment for CPB Contractors, this transition to renewable-only power supply for its corporate offices, plant yards and pre-cast facilities forms part of a broader sustainability approach and its commitment to making a 20% reduction of Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 2025.
CPB Contractors Group Manager Sustainability David Fox said: “By using renewable energy, we reduce carbon emissions and support further investment in green energies like wind and solar farms.
“We’re committed to reaching net zero, and this is just one way that our business will reduce emissions as part of our decarbonisation strategy, which also includes the adoption and procurement of low-emission construction and plant equipment and materials.”
CPB Contractors’ sustainability approach is based on five priority areas, including:
- GHG Emission Reduction
- Sustainable Design
- Sustainable Construction
- Community Legacy
- Workforce Legacy and Safety
