Leighton Asia’s Candaba 3rd Viaduct project team has successfully completed the installation of all double tee girders, which brings the project closer to completion.
The NLEX Candaba 3rd Viaduct is a five-kilometer-long viaduct built between the two existing bridges connecting the towns of Pulilan, Bulacan and Apalit, Pampanga. This new project is part of NLEX's broader initiative to enhance this vital infrastructure's serviceability, safety, and reliability.
A unique girder installation solution was implemented, resulting in over 1,000 girders successfully installed in eight months. This solution enabled our team to efficiently install girders without disrupting traffic and provide a safe method of deck construction by lessening working-at-height risks.
Working together with our structural and geotechnical engineering design partner, EIC Activities, this milestone showcases our ability to produce innovative project solutions that enhance safety minimise risks, and ensure top-notch delivery.
Congratulations to the Candaba project team for your commitment in delivering this critical public infrastructure for our clients and communities.
