At our North-South Corridor project (N103) in Singapore, we are helping to shape the next generation of construction professionals. Recently we hosted three students from Nanyang Girls High School for a two-week learning program, encouraging these young women to pursue careers in the construction industry.
From exploring various roles in engineering, safety, design, commercial, quality assurance and control, and BIM, to hands-on tasks like understanding concrete properties and diaphragm walls, these students got a front-row seat to the dynamic construction world.
The journey began in May 2024 at a career fair, where we introduced students to the exciting opportunities in Leighton Asia. The overwhelming interest led us to create this programme to empower women to consider career in our industry.
We are dedicated to providing practical and enriching experiences that inspire their exciting educational journey and even future careers. These women might be the leaders of tomorrow’s iconic projects!
