What do you think about Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in the construction industry in Malaysia?
The construction industry is traditionally male dominated in Malaysia. Fortunately, the gender roles are being re-defined as more women enter the field of construction and engineering.
This shift marks an exciting time for many, leading to greater opportunities and more women in construction.

Mentorship drives equality and diversity through supporting career growth and breaking down barriers. Mentor programs that pair our experienced staff with graduate engineers were introduced in our office, and we are already seeing positive changes.
Treating all employees with respect, which means valuing their ideas and contributions and providing equal opportunities for growth, is key. Our leaders set the example by showing respect, practicing active listening, and staying open to diverse perspectives.
