With more than 40 years’ experience in the mining industry, Rob Murdoch understands how to create maximum value across a mine’s lifecycle.
As Senior Mining Estimator, based in our Perth office, Rob draws on his knowledge and experience to identify and connect our clients to greater opportunities.
“We work proactively with our clients and prospective clients to achieve the best value-adding solutions, from short to long-term arrangements,” Rob said.
“We structure our commercial models to align with our client’s priorities including financial and key project objectives and risk and reward trade-offs.”
Rob’s main role is to provide accurate and cost-effective estimating to deliver long-term value for our prospective clients.
He also applies the same processes to current projects to improve operational and financial effectiveness.
“Success in mining is underpinned by economic value creation – driven by commodity prices, efficient resource recovery and production and effective cost management,” Rob said.
“We help our clients achieve improved financial outcomes through solutions tailored to the specific needs of their mine.”
In his downtime, Rob channels his precision into playing darts but admits he needs more practice to consistently throw within a five-millimetre circle of accuracy.
