To coincide with R U OK? Day, the UGL team at Muja Power Station launched their own ‘Blue Tree’. The Blue Tree is a part of the Blue Tree Project. It stands as a reminder to encourage people to speak up when battling mental health concerns. Muja Power Station’s Blue Tree was designed and manufactured by Darren True, UGL Pressure Welder.
Individuals made personal pledges to speak up as a part of their every day and these pledges will be displayed on noticeboards around site.
To continue the conversation around mental health, the Muja Power Station team wear their ‘Conversation Starter’ shirts. These shirts are designed to break down barriers and start conversations about mental health. They are a reminder that every day is a good day to ask, are you ok?

Murray Richards, UGL General Manager – Power Generation and Mining, said: “It was great to get out to site and see everyone in their ‘conversation starter’ PPE shirts. These not only look good but also help to keep the conversation going.”
