CPB Contractors, as part of the Rail Infrastructure Alliance, has been selected by the Victorian Government to deliver the next stage of works on the Sunbury Line Upgrade in Victoria.
The project will deliver power and track upgrades to support High Capacity Metro Trains (HCMTs) travelling through the Metro Tunnel.
Upgrades on existing lines include overhead electrification works between Sunbury and South Kensington and at South Yarra, signalling power upgrades and additional infrastructure at Calder Park sidings.
Work is scheduled to be completed in 2023.
The Rail Infrastructure Alliance consists of CPB Contractors and John Holland, with AECOM as the design partner, as well as project owner Rail Projects Victoria and rail franchisee Metro Trains Melbourne.
CPB Contractors acknowledge the Wurundjeri and Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional and continuing custodians of the lands on which the Sunbury Line Upgrade will be delivered.
