Lulu Grand Hyatt and Convention Centre

Leighton has delivered the initial Civil & Structural Works Contract for an International Convention Centre and a Grand Hyatt Hotel on Bolgatty Island in Kochi, Kerala for the Lulu Group.

With an approximate overall construction area of 69,000sqm the Convention Centre will be a signature building with a 5,000-seating capacity and the Grand Hyatt Hotel will be the first in South India.

Spread over 11.82 acres, the Convention Centre will have several halls of different capacity with kiosks, banquet hall and service areas. The basement will have a capacity for parking 450 vehicles, in addition to surface parking for another 2,000 vehicles.

The Grand Hyatt Hotel will feature 267 guestrooms and amenities including a multi cuisine restaurant, two specialty restaurants, a bar and lobby lounge, a 10-treatment room spa, fitness centre, swimming pool, and Grand Club lounge.

The hotel will also offer more than 5,600 sqm of meeting and event space, including a 2,400 sqm ballroom.
